Health Notice
This is not medical advice
The FlowGrounded lessons and guidance are general physical exercise. They are not a health service, they do not include any clinical procedures and they do not replace a consultation with a doctor, physiotherapist, nutritionist or other qualified professional.
Nothing we publish or say is meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
The lessons are recorded: nobody watches you doing them in real time. In the WhatsApp guidance we give pointers on technique based on what you show us, which is not the same as a physical assessment.
Talk to your doctor before you start if
You are pregnant or have recently given birth; you have an injury or persistent pain; you have had surgery in recent months; you have a herniated disc, osteoporosis, arthritis, glaucoma, uncontrolled blood pressure, heart or respiratory disease, epilepsy, dizziness or vertigo; or you take medication that affects your balance or blood pressure.
The same applies if you have not been physically active for a long time or are over 65.
For the breathing techniques: if you have a respiratory or heart condition, severe anxiety or panic attacks, avoid breath holds and fast breathing without your doctor's approval.
Practise safely
Start with the first lesson of each programme, even if you already have experience.
Use the easiest variation whenever the full version makes you hold your breath or strain.
Practise on a stable floor, with clear space around you, barefoot or in non-slip socks.
Do not practise straight after a meal, under the influence of alcohol or while taking medication that makes you drowsy.
Do the breathing sessions sitting or lying down, and never in water, while driving or while operating machinery.
Stop immediately if you feel
Sharp pain, especially in your joints, spine or head.
Dizziness, nausea, blurred vision, tingling, shortness of breath out of proportion to the effort, or chest pain.
If this happens, stop the lesson and seek medical help. In an emergency, call 112.
Liability
Physical exercise carries risks. By practising, you accept that you do so within your own limits and following these recommendations.
We are not liable for injuries caused by practising against medical advice, ignoring the easier variations, forcing your range of movement or practising in an unsuitable space.
This does not exclude our liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded, in particular for wilful misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury attributable to us.
Minors and other people
The programmes are for people aged 18 and over and must not be used to teach children, groups or other people.
